What can you expect from a private workshop?

​

  • After you submit a booking request, we’ll chat a little more about your photographic goals and/or things you’d like to learn from the workshop. From there, I’ll create a custom itinerary that maximizes our photo opportunities in the field.

What topics could we cover?

​

  • I’m open to whichever techniques or skills you’d like to develop or learn more about. This could be photography or naturalist topics. Here are some examples: mastering manual mode, practicing birds in flight, long exposure owl photography or developing birding by ear skills.​

I had a great photo walk with Kris. He asked me about what species of birds I was interested in and he tailored our walk time and location in order to find the owls. While on location, he explained what I should look and listen for in the environment in order to identify other locations with owls. He help me spot the owls and to dial in the correct exposure for our twilight shoot. I will definitely be booking another photo walk with Kris, to help capture images of the next bird species on my list.
